Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface after wearing. If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with clean water only.

Some collectors traditionally use a small amount of baby oil (such as Johnson’s Baby Oil) to enhance the appearance of agate. If you choose to do so, use only a minimal amount and avoid excessive application. This helps maintain the stone’s natural luster and smooth appearance.

A single drop is sufficient — gently massage it into the surface with your fingertips, then buff softly with the jewelry polishing cloth included in your package.

Do not use chemical cleaners, ultrasonic devices, or jewelry dips, as they may affect the natural appearance of the stone.

Storage

Store your piece in the fabric pouch provided, or in a dedicated jewelry box.

Keep it separate from metal chains or harder gemstones to prevent surface scratches.

Silk Agate ranks 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale. Like all natural gemstones, it is durable but not indestructible and should still be treated with care.

Wearing

Remove your jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising.

Prolonged exposure to chlorine, salt water, and sweat can gradually affect the stone’s surface appearance.

Extreme temperature shifts — such as leaving it in a hot car or near a heater — may also affect the stone’s appearance over time.
